2023 Road to Hope

Law Enforcement United is a national group of Law Enforcement, Survivors, and Civilian supporters who have made it their mission to honor the fallen police officers and remember the survivors. They are 100% volunteer driven organization. This is an annual 3-day, 240-mile bike ride that arrives in Washington, DC, to kick off Police Week in May. There are over 400 LEOs riding while supporting ODMP and C.O.P.S.

Pastor Glenn and Grant did the ride last year. Glenn did the ride and rode for an officer friend killed in Milwaukee in 1992 working as a police office for Milwaukee Police Department.

Officer Grant is a veteran police officer in Minnesota 2024 will be his 8th year with LEU and his 6th ride.  Grant joined Law Enforcement United for several reasons but the main one was that throughout his career he has tried to Honor our Fallen Brothers and Sisters, primarily through his Departments Honor Guards.

Grant says, “I had never done any "distance" biking and thought I would accept the challenge.  I have met so many wonderful people over the years, either officers from around the Country or survivors of our fallen.  The impact that this organization has made on me has been beyond what words can explain.  The physical challenge is something I have never experienced, but seeing and getting to know some of the survivors  and learning their loved ones' story absolutely makes all of the hardship of training and riding worth it.  I know that the physical strain that affects me is not even close to what they have gone through in losing their loved one.  Seeing the children of the fallen hits me very hard, but to let them know that their dad or mom will never be forgotten makes everything better”

The attached photo is from the 2023 Road to Hope, Grant rode in Honor of Carroll County Sheriff's Deputy Noah Rainey who was killed on Jan 29, 2022, the photo was taken after we rode into Washington DC and is of me, Noah's wife Maria Rainey and their 2 sons.

Joe, a lieutenant for a Minnesota Sheriffs depart is riding for the first time. He says, “I am participating in the ride for hope due to my entire life has been about me. This is a way to think of others and to build relationships rather than being selfish. My heart change has shown how to love and support for others. By participating in the ride for hope I’ll be able to give to others that have suffered a tremendous loss in their life in which I have taken for granted. By participating this will help me heal from my failed relationships but strengthen my new relationships that I have started with God, Glenn and Grant to just name a few.
