Dan Vergin retired from law enforcement in 2009 after serving for 31 years, 17 as Chief of Police. He is a past president of the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association and the Wisconsin Police Leadership Foundation. He is currently serving on the Board of Overseers for Converge Great Lakes, and has played an active role in church conflict resolution throughout Wisconsin and the U.P. Dan and his wife Leigh live in Wausau, Wisconsin.
